Unit 2 Reflection

        The effects of technology in our youth is a very controversial and pertinent topic currently. People are often wondering which side to take or what is best for either themselves, their family members, their friends, their children or their students. I didn’t want to make my research paper solely for just one of those categories. With that being said I made my audience anyone who is struggling with deciding whether or not technology is beneficial to the lives of children or overall a hindrance to their development or futures. I made the rhetorical choice to just come out and say who my audience is right off the bat in my paper. In paragraph one I wrote, “ With this, there is a constant debate of whether or not technology is hindering children or helping them. Unit 2 Portfolio (final)

Technology is a rapidly changing and ever growing beneficiary that we are in contact with every day of our lives. However, it was not always like this. It is just within the past twenty years that our society has made it so that there is technology in the hand of nearly each and every single person. With this, there is a constant debate of whether or not technology is hindering children or helping them. This is a space to educate all of the people that are not sure of the effects of technology on our youth because it is such a prominent issue. Using myself, a twenty year old college student as an example, I go to class; I open my laptop to take notes.  I walk into a lecture and my attendance is online.
